The driver of the double zero Toyota, Michael McDowell has had a tough 2008 season to say the least. McDowell’s highest qualifying position is 18^th, has a highest finishing position of 21^st and is a disappointing 39^th in driver’s standings. On top of that, everyone remembers his hard qualifying crash at Texas earlier this year.

Belinda Mooseknuckle, who is Michael’s ex-girlfriend says she is to blame. “At Christmas time, Michael gave me a gag gift that has had devastating consequences for him” said Mooseknuckle. “Michael jokingly presented me with a voo doo doll of himself and said if I ever got mad at him I could use it. He ended up dumping me a few weeks later. Well obviously that jerk didn’t realize that his seemingly harmless gift would actually have destructive powers because I use it all the time.”

Belinda never used the doll until Week 7 of the 2008 season at Texas when the relationship between the NASCAR power couple took a turn for the worse. “Michael called me and asked me to drop off his US weekly and OK! magazine subscriptions since they are still being delivered to my house. That’s when I decided to start using the doll and we all know how qualifying went for him at Texas. Since then, I have been using it weekly.”

Even Mooseknuckle has conceded that her using the doll every race weekend is beginning to spiral out of control as McDowell has become virtually invisible come race weekend. She said she plans to stop in the near future, but “qualifying is usually on Friday afternoon’s and that’s Happy Hour time. Once I get a few sex on the beaches in me my girlfriends egg me on to use it.”
