It was recently announced that A.J. Allmendinger will drive the No. 00 Toyota for Michael Waltrip Racing at Lowe’s Motor Speedway this weekend.  Therefore, A.J. Allmendinger will be the next driver to finish in the low 30’s for the No. 00 Toyota for Michael Waltrip Racing.

Racing for a team that is currently ranked 36^th in owner points, Allmendinger knows that expectations for this weekend can’t be high so he is shooting for a finish of 31^st or lower.  Although Kenny Wallace finished a season-high 12th-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway this past Sunday in the No. 00, Allmendinger knows a finish that high was pure luck and can’t be repeated.

Allmendinger has been looking for a job since he was let go by the Red Bull Racing Team two weeks ago and thinks that if he can finish above the average the No. 00 Toyota has finished so far this year and finish in 32^nd place, it could be a major step in the right direction for his career.
